1982年毕业于四川美术学院绘画系油画专业；1986年研究生毕业于四川美术学院绘画系油画专业，同年留校任教；1990年加入中国美术家协会；1993年于德国卡塞尔大学艺术学院学习；1994年于德国布伦瑞克艺术学院学习；1995年回校，同年加入中国油画学会。
《丽色唇语》系列的创作理念源自于我对当下中国社会中在消费主义价值观引导下女性所呈现出的一种生存状态的感悟，今日的女性不再抱有曾经在七十年代以前文革时代那样禁欲的、崇尚朴素生活和形象的人生态度，更倾向于物质的、享乐主义的人生追求，反映在视觉媒介中，便是我们看到的铺天盖地无处不在的美女形象，他们在人们生活中的各个角落争奇斗艳，炫耀美色，昭示欲望，美丽，享乐，性感，这些在若干年前还近乎令国人憎恶或感到羞耻，如今已昭然成为时代的生活风尚，这一切都与70年代流行于画报杂志封面的“工农兵形象”构成鲜明的对比。而我即是采集了当下充斥眼帘的美女图像，并将视点聚集在这些女性总是刻意彰显的性感的唇部，再连同刺目的艳发，以记录和呈现这个时代女性炫耀色相的消费时代大观。——刘虹

Fresh fromrecent projects with Louis Vuitton and luxury goods group Richemont, renownedfemale portraiture painter Liu Hong is a popular Chinese contemporary artist.She was bornin Shan'xi Province in 1956, earning a major in Oil Painting from the SichuanFine Arts Institute. Her mostrecent work "Luscious Lips" portrays the role ofconsumerism and changing moral values among Chinese women.Widely exhibited, her works are held by several The so-calledsocial discourse refers to the situation that girls in the paintings arecomplete dominated by desires produced by consumerism and spectacularisation,which is visually presented through desire-related symbols, that is, lips andits language. It reveals consumerism's materialization towards human bylips-language representing sexuality and personality. What the artist mainlyintends to deliver is consumerism's demand of various images of women. Then itis who that altering the criteria of beauty, redefining sexy and creatinggender- oriented commercialized desires. If the past is led by politicaldiscourse and male aesthetics, then nowadays is a collaboration of industrialculture, pop culture and consumer discourse hidden behind a variety offashions.

1964年出生于江苏省南京市，1989年毕业于南京艺术学院美术系。创作包括油画及雕塑作品，主要代表系列有《女人与时尚》《女人与枪》《看山看水》等。
前世今生的错觉
从古今的诗词大家、书画名家对名山大川的激情描绘中可以感受到中国人对山水的钟情是与生俱来的。这已是中国文化经典之一部分。
《看山看水》系列作品应该是致敬前人经典作品的自我想象和对当下现实生活的直观感受。在现代文明的语境里去感受农耕文明时代的冷山冷水。使古代文明穿越到现代文明，见仁见智的感觉是不一样的，有一种前世今生的存在感。
作品用夜景画面的处理方式以及用灯光效果的直接表达，以达到一种存在的错觉，时代感更为一目了然。
历史是前进的，任何新的文明都是在前一个文明的基础上发展而来的，而不是否定过去的文明，更不是破坏过去的文明而去建一个所谓的新的虚假的不实在的文明。人类生存的基本生态破坏了，那人类的文明也就没有意义了。
我的作品所表现的内容强调的是时代的发展，是对前人经典作品的个人假设，任意想象，静态中有一种喧嚣的不安全感，过度的开发会使原本美好的东西变得不再向往。

Liu Fei isknown for his bald girls with a strong revolutionary theme. The images thesegirls make an unforgettable impression. The artist's means of expression is anexaggerated anti-aestheticism and the elements he uses are not taken from life.Rather, they are derived from female students in the 1920s-a white blouse witha black skirt. They have appeared in many novels, movies and photographs of theperiod. However, in historical images they are accompanied by faces ofinnocence and beauty.
In recentyears, Liu Fei has reinvented landscape paintings and these works bring to mindfeelings of nostalgia, reminding us of memories encapsulated in the stillnessof time. Chinese people's love for mountains and rivers seems to be innate.From ancient and modern poetry, masters of calligraphy and painting have apassion for depicting famous mountains and rivers. My works are self-imaginingto pay tribute to the classic works of predecessors, so that their works arepresented in this era, and there is a sense of existence in past and present.
